Delhi Airport Waterlogging: Heavy rain on September 4 left several parts of Delhi waterlogged, including roads and the approach roads and forecourt of IGI Airport Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Passengers were seen walking through water with their luggage, while airport staff worked to clear the accumulated water.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Palam recorded 75.6 mm of rainfall in around three hours, while Naraina received 54 mm, Janakpuri 48.5 mm and Safdarjung 32.6 mm.

But the bigger question is — why does Delhi face the same waterlogging crisis every monsoon? Is heavy rainfall the only reason, or is Delhi's ageing drainage system and rapid urbanisation also responsible?
