On 06/24/2024 St. Lucie county Florida - FWC officers on patrol stopped a boat for speeding in a manatee zone. The female captain admitted to having 3 beverages while the male captain who was also operating the boat stated he had nothing to drink.
Footage of the male captain had no sound and other parts had loud wind noise. He was charged with Operating a Vessel while normal Faculties Impaired. She was Charged with BUI and blew BAC 0.127 and 0.128. Later her charges were reduced down to Reckless operation of a vessel.
