Oogenesis process starts during the foetal life and completes once sperm enters into the secondary oocyte (fertilization). Primary oocyte undergoes meiosis I and forms secondary oocyte and this undergoes meiosis II to form ootid (non functional ovum) during the process of fertilization. Later ootid becomes ovum and within minutes gets converted to zygote. What all the changes occurs in the follicles are discussed in this video.
