The first ballot of the election for the FIFA President at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress 2016 recorded 27 votes for H.R.H Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, 85 votes for Shk. Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, 7 votes for Jérôme Champagne, and 88 votes for Gianni Infantino. Earlier, Tokyo Sexwale withdrew his candidacy before the first ballot got underway.
