The Future of Speech Online (FOSO) was a one-day symposium held by the Center for Democracy & Technology, in partnership with the Charles Koch Institute and the Newseum Institute. We explored the most pressing issues around free speech online today, and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the historic Supreme Court decision in Reno v. ACLU, which extended First Amendment protections to expressive activity online. We worked towards answering: "How can we work together to shape a digital future where speech and democracy flourish?" "Where do we go from here?"
