Описание: 🚴‍♂️ Cycling the Rocacorba Climb from Lake Banyoles | Scenic Catalonia Ride 🇪🇸

Today’s ride starts from Camping Lac, right on the shores of Lake Banyoles in Catalonia, Spain. I’ve put together a mixed route that begins with a lap of the lake before heading west into the surrounding countryside, eventually linking up with the famous Rocacorba climb — but from a lesser-known approach.

Instead of taking on Rocacorba from the bottom, I’ll be winding my way up a scenic backroad and joining the climb a little way up to explore a different angle than the traditional route. Expect 40 miles (64 km) and about 3,000 feet (915 m) of climbing.

Highlights include:

A visit to the Haribo Factory, which smells as good as it sounds 🍬

Stunning backroads and forest-lined climbs

Gruelling gradients (I hit a full 1 km at 10.4% average!)

A summit finish with panoramic views of the Catalan landscape
