The rapid advancement of generative AI is reshaping the professional landscape, presenting both opportunities and challenges for young professionals. Deloitte's 2024 Gen Z and Millennial Survey, which included 22,800 participants from 44 countries, highlighted the mixed feelings among Gen Z (born between January 1995 and December 2005) regarding AI's impact on their careers. Notably, 57% of Gen Z respondents expressed concerns about the difficulty of entering the workforce due to generative AI, while 59% showed a preference for job roles less prone to automation.

Sinan Aral, a professor of management, IT, marketing, and data science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, lends his advice on cultivating an essential skill to thrive in an AI world.
