Описание: A disturbing incident from Prakasham district, Andhra Pradesh, has come to light, in which a private bus driver was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted by a travels bus owner after he demanded his unpaid wages. Shyam Kumar, a driver from Jammulapalem, worked for 10 days as a halting driver for a private travels company in Ongole, but the owner, Suri, repeatedly refused to pay him and even verbally abused him over the phone. On the 5th of this month, a frustrated Shyam Kumar, along with relatives, intercepted Suri's bus at Tanguturu Toll Plaza, but released it after Suri promised to pay the dues the following day in Ongole. However, on the 8th of this month, as Shyam Kumar was passing through Ongole on his return journey from Hyderabad, Suri and his associates allegedly blocked his bus near KIMS Underpass, forcibly pulled him out, and kidnapped him in their car. The accused reportedly drove him through Chirala Road and Maddipadu Road, verbally abusing him, physically assaulting him, attempting to forcibly remove his earrings, and stripping his clothes in a deeply inhumane manner — all of which was recorded on video by the accused themselves. Based on the victim's complaint, Taluka CI Vijay Krishna confirmed that a case has been registered against Suri and his associates under charges of kidnapping and the SC/ST Atrocities Act.
