Make sure you turn up the audio for this! A full power TOGA take off (no buzzsaw) on a jetBlue Airbus A321-231, IAE V2500 engines out of New York’s JFK airport enroute to Seattle. When TOGA power is applied these engines get so quiet and make a high pitched whine. This is the first time I’ve experienced this on the A321 and it was awesome. Also if someone that knows could explain why when the higher power thrust is applied to these engines that are usually very loud and generate a loud buzzsaw noise on regular takeoff, they are silent when TOGA power is applied, why is that?
