Puerto Vallarta is a resort town in the state of Jalisco Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is located on the Pacific Ocean at Bahía de Banderas. Puerto Vallarta has a population of 280,000 extending in the South-North from the Ameca River and the border of the state Nayarit to Boca de Tomatlán. In the East-West Puerto Vallarta borders the municipalities of Talpa de Allende, Cabo Corrientes, Mascota and San Sebastián del Oeste. The city is referred to as PVR (after the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport) while English Speakers prefer to call the city P.V.
Highlights of this beautiful coastal town is: Villa del Palmar, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, the Sea Horse Sculpture, the pier, the boardwalk, Marina Vallarta and downtown.
