Great news - new DARTs are coming! 🚉
It was great to visit the Irish Rail Depot at Inchicore to check out the prototype for the new DART+ carriages.
The first 90 new carriages are due next year. They are far more spacious than the original DARTs.
All carriages have automatic access for wheelchair users. There are dedicated spaces for wheelchairs, cyclists, the elderly and families with buggies.
All carriages also have charging points and a special colour scheme that will help people who are partially sighted.
The new trains will be a wonderful addition to the DART fleet and they are very welcome 👍
