Harvesting CORN & Making CCM SILAGE with

Hello,
in today's FS22 timelapse we are at the end of September. Since the year was very hot and dry, the annual grain maize harvest is coming. In the morning we head together with The CamPeR to the local agricultural machinery dealer, where we borrow a Capello corn header and a Stade ZW4010 mill. Back at the Swiss Future Farm, we immediately prepare our Fendt 6275L combine harvester and head to the nearby field. Here we harvest approx. 300 kg of grain maize as a crop sample and unload it into our Mahindra UTV. We analyze the sample at the Swiss Future Farm, after which it is clear that the harvest can begin. Then qe harvest half of the field while The CamPeR takes care of removing the grain maize and grinding it in the silo. The grinding turns the grain maize into CCM (Corn-Cob-Mix), which is used as pig feed. Since we currently do not own any pigs, we will sell the CCM for a profit in the winter. For the first time this year, we are also collecting the corn straw as a test in order to use it somehow. After a while we swap with The CamPeR and take care of the production of the CCM. Shortly before noon we successfully brought in our last harvest of the year. We cover our silo with maize silage and our silo with CCM with a silo foil, old tires and sandbags, then we take our well-deserved break. An exciting adventure awaits us on the Swiss Future Farm.
