The new Tanah Merah Eastbound Platform, as part of the Tanah Merah Modification Project (TMMP), began operations after the East-West Line (EWL) Shut Down Phase 2 (SD2).
On its first day, the SMRT Kindness Express train also made a coincidental appearance, catching me off guard as I expected a normal R151 train.
The TMMP is assumed to been carried out together with the new viaducts and the East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID). In my opinion, the station and the viaducts linking to it makes Tanah Merah look more of an urban station than a commuter rail station. Another video upload on this will be posted next month.
