Lapses in PM Narendra Modi's security have led to strenuous attacks being unleashed by the BJP on Punjab CM Charanjit Channi. While the BJP says that Congress deliberately put the PM in harm's way, Channi says that "nothing happened," dismissing allegations of the lapse.
"I would have taken a bullet myself before any harm came to the PM"
He further adds that it was a good thing that the PM didn't reach his rally in Ferozepur, and alleges that only 700 showed up in an event where seats were laid out for 70,000.
