🚨 BREAKING: Police cordon off Merseyside road as bar issues statement

Описание: A bar has issued a statement after police cordoned off one Merseyside road on Sunday morning. Merseyside Police officers are in attendance on Three Tuns Lane in Formby, near to Wall of Fame and The Lifeboat, where an assault is believed to have taken place.

The force confirmed the nature of the incident, with the assault thought to have taken place last night, Saturday, March 7. An extensive cordon is in place as police continue their investigation.

A local bar, Wall of Fame, in the centre of the outer police cordon, has since issued a statement distancing itself from the incident.

Writing on Facebook, the bar said: "The incident which has been circulating on socials that happened on the road outside our bar yesterday has nothing to do with us.

"It happened elsewhere within the village and unfortunately the dispute ended on the road outside our bar.

"We had a private party on and then we stayed open as normal and will be open again today."
