Lyrics:
[Intro – “The Crossing of Arun”]
I am Kangsore Limbu, sword of Vijaypur’s kin,
Nepa’s winds carry word — Gorkha has crossed the Arun.
We waited on the Sowa banks,
Spears like forests, bows like storms…
Seventeen battles ahead —
And I will not kneel.
[Verse I – “Fires on the Sowa River”]
They came with fire across the plain,
Chains for the free, for Limbu name.
Eight men fall with every breath,
Arrows whisper the sound of death!
Chainpur burns, Dumja bleeds,
Ramechhap echoes our enemies’ pleas!
Three years we held, through storm and flame—
And not one hill forgot our name!
[Chorus I – “We Are the Arrows”]
We are the arrows — born from thunder,
We are the blood the hills remember!
Through broken steel and burning sky,
No Gorkha stands — where Kangsore rides!
[Verse II – “The Duel of Blood and Oath”]
Raghu Rana calls me forth,
One blade, one fate, one oath of war.
Dawn to dusk, the duel runs red—
I strike him down, his lifeblood spread!
But the cowards rise from hidden graves,
Blades from earth, a storm of knaves!
Oath betrayed beneath the sun,
A thousand lies — for the life of one.
[Bridge – “The Betrayal”]
No trumpet sounded my fall,
No god descended to see it all.
My blood soaked Sabha Dobhan’s clay—
The earth remembers the oath they betrayed.
Gorkha blades cut down my kin,
And silence crowned their treachery’s grin.
But even in death, I would not fade—
For truth survives where honor’s laid!
[Verse III – “From the Sky Above Sabha Dobhan”]
Now I see from heaven’s crest,
The rivers still run through the chest
Of my people, proud, unbowed—
The dead still march beneath the cloud.
Abhimansingh comes, a treaty born,
Salt and water, oath sworn.
Noonpani binds the tongue and soul—
“Break this bond, and gods take toll.”
[Chorus II – “Salt and Water Become One”]
Salt and water — blood and sky,
Melt together, never die!
You can take the land, but not the flame,
Kipat breathes — remember my name!
From Bijaypur to the far Tambar,
The oath resounds — carried afar.
The kings who swore, their ghosts remain,
Bound by salt, by god, by shame!
[Outro – “The Oath and the Vanishing Kingdoms”]
From the heavens I watch your wars,
Your crowns, your thrones, your broken oaths.
Salt dissolves, kingdoms fade—
Yet the hills still whisper my blade.
I was Kangsore Limbu,
General of the storm.
They buried me beneath Sabha’s rain—
But I still live in the thunder’s roar.
