The Communications Authority of Kenya has shut Mt. Kenya TV for a month and imposed a fine of half a million shillings for what the regulator terms as a gross violation of programming standards. Acting CA Director-General Mercy Wanjau says the TV station aired explicit content during a watershed period contrary to the Information and Communications (Broadcasting) Regulations of 2009.
