Over 14,000 farmers attended the Dairy Open Day in Teagasc Moorepark on 1st July in Fermoy, Co Cork. Sustainable Expansion was the focus of the biennial event and an array of technical workshops, forums and demonstrations took place in order to educate milk producers about best practices in expanding in the new post quota era.
Ornua, The Home of Irish Dairy, were present to meet with farmers and show them the work we are doing in building our brands (such as Kerrygold), developing ingredients and strengthening our in-market presence.
Minister Simon Coveney and TD Sean Sherlock also stopped by the Ornua and Kerrygold stand to sample Kerrygold butter and cheeses and see a sample of the diverse Ornua foods and ingredients range.
