Healesville Marysville Loop — Black Spur, Reefton Spur, Myers Creek Road plus more great roads.

We often refer to Omeo and the High Country as our best riding roads, but basing from Marysville might be as good as it gets?
At last we had a cool day with the temperature ranging from 11° to 21°. Starting from Healesville and finishing at Marysville we had to decide on the route and we had lots to choose from — 3 of the choices are posted with an explanation.
We chose to do the shorter (local) route which turned out to be one of our best days riding — fantastic. And the aim was to get in early enough to also enjoy the hospitality of the beautiful Kerami Manor where we were staying.
So it was straight up the magnificent Myers Creek Road, down Healesville-Kinglake Rd (which I used to think was the best — it’s good), through Buttermans Tk (which is a lot of fun), then up Heidelberg-Kinglake Rd (I also thought this was the best — it’s also good).
Then across the top on Healesville-Kinglake Rd (some is great) and back down Myers Creek Road 😀😀.
That was a great start to the day that just got better. We went up the lovely Black Spur, then turned off on Marysville Rd and our intended route down Acheron away was closed! We weren’t unhappy because that meant we would go on to do the best roads in the area, in both directions!
Up Marysville-Woods Point Rd (this is brilliant), up to Lake Mountain (a whole lot of fun) where the Cafè was open, back down and continue on the tighter part of Marysville-Woods Point Rd until we headed down one if the best Roads anywhere — the Reefton Spur!
We took this to Warburton which is also a great run, turned and headed back up the Spur (20km of non-stop twisties up the mountain) and back to Marysville — one if the best short rides anywhere 😀.
A quick ride up to the flowing Steavenson Falls finished the ride before we relaxed in the Kerami lounge enjoying a few drinks.
Dinner at the Duck Inn (Marysville Hotel) was one of the best we’d had.
A short 286km but it was fabulous!
