Today we’re looking at four extremely affordable new FX pedals from Vintage Guitars: the Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Delay, and Reverb!

I’ve already looked at the four new Vintage Drive pedals (right here: • Vintage's $50 Americana Fuzz, Transparent ... ), so it was only right to look at the rest of the pedalboard too!
Here we have three choice modulation pedals, a delay, and a reverb – and they’re all around the £50 mark, meaning they’re ideal for guitarists on a budget. Being this price, they’re all mono only, and you’re not going to get nifty features like tap tempo on the delay, but what you do get is solid metal enclosures and some nice, colorful designs for your board.
First up here is the Chorus, a simple classic chorus effect featuring Level, Depth and Rate controls. This – for an asking price of £49.99 – should take us from a light tonal thickener to thick, lush and washy waves of chorus goodness.
Then we have the Flanger. Also £49.99, this one gives us Width, Speed, Regen and Delay controls, so there should be a huge range of flange varieties under the orange hood. I’m expecting everything from a gentle wash of chorus or phase to those classic whooshes of the “jetplane taking off” sound, and even some throbbing vibrato and rotary-esque sounds from this one!
Next comes the Tremolo. An extremely simple affair – featuring just the two controls, for Intensity and Rate – the £44.99 Tremolo is based on the classic trem circuits found in vintage tube amps of yore, so I’m expecting some lush ambient washes here, some throbbing Americana goodness, and even some extra choppy Boulevard Of Broken Dreams sounds from this one.
Then we have the Delay. Again a simple affair, Vintage tell us the Delay (which costs £44.99) is genuinely analog, and not just a digital chip emulating an analog delay sound. You have Level, Delay, and Repeat knobs to shape your tones here, and a rather useful maximum delay time of 600ms. Here we can expect everything from a basic slapback effect to some nice tonal thickeners, some lush ambient textures, and maybe even a bit of self-oscillation, if we’re lucky!
Finally, we have the Reverb. This is an effect that seems fairly rare at this sort of a price point, and the Reverb is indeed the most expensive of the bunch here at £59.99. You get six knobs to shape your reverb tones here: Res (Resonance), CFR (Center Frequency), LPF (Low Pass Filter), PRD (Pre Delay), Mix, and Decay. This means we should have access to all sorts of reverb tones under the hood, from a basic room to larger halls, and hopefully some more cavernous ambient affairs too.
All said, we have five promising pedals on the table today – but which one(s) should you be rushing to add to your pedalboard? Time to find out! In this video, I put the budget quintet through their paces in a variety of musical styles to see how good they really are. Guitar-wise, I’m using my 2025 Ibanez AZ Standard HSS Strat type, and we’re running into the F Loop of my Hughes & Kettner AmpMan Classic pedal amp on the Clean Channel. When I need some drive, we’re using the Vintage Commander Marshall-flavored preamp pedal.
Enjoy, and let me know which of the pedals you like best in the comments!

My setup was as follows: I ran the pedals into the FX Loop of my Hughes & Kettner AmpMan Classic amp. I went from the amp’s Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That’s it. No post-processing on the sounds was done. Here’s some links to those bits of gear:
