Three Different ways of changing your memory
1. Change your what –Once your brain drew a conclusion based on the traumatic event you were experiencing your brain stopped from having to draw any other conclusion. You bought into a conclusion based on a young child, or a compromised victim, drawing conclusions from a traumatic event.
2. Change your why – This is crucial to helping you change your beliefs about yourself. So many people have false assumptions on why something happened. So many people falsely blame themselves. Remember that is often a childish interpretation of an event.
3. Change your belief(s) – The way you do this is to challenge them.
A. You have just brought in new evidence. Use this to redefine yourself.
B. Call on experts to testify about who you are. God, friend, relative who loved you, your older, wiser self. What would they say?
