Manningtree station is a fascinating station that is well worth the visit. For a station of its size I was very surprised to find it had a coffee shop on the platform, which was open when I went, and also a station buffet, which is like a pub, that was also open when I went. I got the breakfast deal of a bacon roll/sandwich and a coffee for £4 and I was very impressed. There was lots of bacon in my sandwich and the coffee was great too. There is even an on-platform beer/pub garden should you wish to trainspot whilst eating. There were lots of people at the station who didn't seem to be catching trains and so made a great community space❗️ Oh, and the ticket office was also open when I went. Top marks for Manningtree‼️
