In the distance, the deadly pits of giant lion ant larvae lie in wait, hidden traps ready to claim any careless prey.
The group watches in grim fascination as one such pit ensnares a massive desert fox. Its misstep seals its fate, and it is swiftly devoured by the larvae, a stark reminder of the desert’s merciless dangers.
