The United States could deliver long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine by the end of this week, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner said.
On April 20, the lower house of the US Congress, the House of Representatives, votes in favor of a bill providing over $60 billion in support to Ukraine.
The document will be sent for Biden's signature on April 23 or 24, immediately after the Senate vote, which is scheduled for Tuesday.
The Pentagon has prepared weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to be sent to Ukraine in advance. The transfer of aid may begin with long-range ATACAMS missile systems.
Earlier, the German government stated that it was negotiating with other countries on new supplies of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Ukraine may receive additional Patriot, SAMP/T, NASAMS, HAWK, or IRIS-T systems.
After the US passed the Ukraine Assistance Act, Estonia, Sweden and the Czech Republic called on Europe not to relax and to continue supporting Ukraine, as this is the best way to protect itself.
