For years, I believed I had created my solo therapy practice for freedom and flexibility.
But the truth was more complicated.
After working in environments that felt unsafe, unseen, and misaligned, building my own practice gave me what I desperately needed: control, predictability, and space to breathe.
What I didn’t realize at the time was how easy it became to stay hidden inside the role of “the therapist.”
My training taught me to hold space for others.
To focus on their needs.
To not take up too much space myself.
For someone who already struggled to feel safe being visible, that role felt natural. Even admirable. But it also allowed patterns of over-functioning, proving, and staying small to follow me into a new environment.
As I worked with women navigating guilt, burnout, and the pressure to carry everything for everyone, I began recognizing something familiar.
I had lived those same patterns.
This video is part of a new series where I’m sharing the personal shifts that led to the creation of She Embodies Freedom, not as a rebrand, but as a reflection of my own healing and expansion.
If you’ve ever been the strong one, the responsible one, the one everyone leans on… this conversation is for you.
Next week, I’ll be sharing the beliefs that kept me stuck for so long.
If this resonates with you, you’re invited to stay connected here.
