Описание: In this video, I have talked about how to partition the phenotypic variance of quantitative traits into different components. These components include genetic components and environmental components. The genetic components (genetic variance) can be further divided into 3 parts which are additive genetic variance, dominance variance and epistatic genetic variance. The environmental variance arises due to the common environmental variance or permanent environmental variance.
I have also discussed additive gene action, dominant gene action and epistatic gene action. In the end, broad sense heritability is also discussed in this lecture.
