Sabrina Steffans, a senior at Grand Island Senior High School in western New York, wanted to personalize her parking space with biblical imagery. (The school allowed students to paint their spots however they'd like, within reason, for a $50 fee.)
But when she submitted her religious design, the school said no. Then they said no again after she made revisions. The school was wrong.
After lawyers stepped in, they finally backed down.
