There are multiple Management System Standards (MSS). From ISO (International Standards Organization) and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) through to industry specific frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library and SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference).

It is important is that an organisation selects a standard for the purposes of returning value.
