In an interview with Edwin Carels, the Quay Brothers remember a performance they saw in the early eighties in London, by Henk and Ans Boerwinkel's Figurentheater Triangel. At their request, Henk Boerwinkel came to EYE, to bring the marionettes, masks, stick and hand puppets to life one more time.
His performance was framed by films in which the magic of puppetry plays a central role. The evening was part of the cinema programme FOOTNOTES to the exhibition THE QUAY BROTHERS' UNIVERSUM (EYE, 15-12-2013 / 9-3-2014)
