The Green Party is enjoing a rise in popularity, not long after Zack Polanski was voted to lead the Greens into the next election. All drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine, should be legalised, the leader of the Green Party has said, as he pledged to provide an alternative for left-wing voters who are disillusioned with the Labour government.
Zack Polanski accused Sir Keir Starmer of failing to go far enough on issues such as the climate crisis, while “cracking down on our rights”. He branded Labour the “handmaidens” of Reform’s politics.
In his first speech as party leader, Polanski said: “The prime minister might call this an island of strangers. When Farage says jump, Labour might say ‘how high?’ But the Greens will never dance to the tune of a Trump-loving, tax-avoiding, science-denying, NHS-dismantling corporate stooge.”
