Covid-19 has had a far-reaching impact especially on the education of children from marginalized groups such as children with disabilities, lower socio-economic groups, gender minorities, religious minorities and linguistic minorities, among others. Worldwide closure of schools has placed all such children at-risk of dropping out of formal education system and being neglected even further. This is especially true for countries such as Pakistan where lack of disaggregated data and information means that the actual number of marginalized children and children with disabilities remains unclear. Furthermore, there is also a dearth of information on the number of students from marginalized groups and disabilities who are receiving adequate educational support during the Covid-19 pandemic. These issues, coupled with the complications arising due to digital divide and low-internet penetration, means that children with disabilities and children from marginalized groups are being excluded from the education sector’s response to Covid-19.

Under such circumstances, this webinar brings together the thought-leaders and practitioners to discuss the options available for the education of All children and share the practices which are most relevant in the context of developing countries in general and Pakistan in particular.
