The Madaraka Express - is Kenya's first Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). The railway connects Nairobi, Kenya's capital and largest city, to Mombasa, the country’s second-largest city. It is a major artery for trade, tourism, and development in Kenya and eastern Africa as a whole. There are plans to extend the madaraka express service throughout other parts of the country.
