Lady's Maid - Titanic The Musical (Piano solo)

Описание: Most of you probably don't know/won't have heard that Titanic has been made into a musical but it premiered on Broadway in 1997 (with Brian D'Arcy James playing the role of Barrett) but for some ridiculous reason it didn't get the fame that (I believe) it deserves. Maury Yeston has written a fabulous score of original songs capturing the very essence of the well-known story. It has since had a revival concert at the Lincoln Centre recently and hopefully it will go on to bigger things from there.

In this video I am playing 'Lady's Maid', a song sung by Kate McGowan who is then joined by the other two Kate's and finally, the ensemble. It's an uplifting number as they all imagine what their lives will be like when they embark on American soil. The heartbreaking moment is when we hear at the end of the song that Kate is pregnant, being the nature of the story, we know that getting to America is never going to happen.
