Описание: In this video, I'm filming the scenery that can be seen on the "roof" of Algiers. I'm in Bouzareah, by the road of the Astronomical Observatory, right above the Jaubert Quarry. This area is known as Djebel Koukoun (the Koukou Mountain). It was the area where an army, led by Sidi Ahmed ou el Kadi from Kabylie, came to lay siege to Algiers upon the arrival of the Ottomans, between 1520 and 1527. The area is one of the highest parts of Algiers. It's so beautiful. It's like a balcony from where you can see most of the main streets and neighborhoods of the western part of Algiers.
