For the tone nerds:
All guitars are recorded by me to a backing track of the original song. The live performance guitar in this video sits on the right side of the mix. I added a supporting double on the left to reinforce the original track. There are two punch-ins on the right side to correct chord hits — better than leaving the clunkers in.
Sounds custom made with Guitar Rig 7 in Pro Tools, based on a tube screamer in front of a JCM800, parametric, 6-band.
