158F: Journey Beyond Berowra (16th & 24th Jan. 2024)

Описание: A selection of trains at the M1 entry/ exit overpass between Berowra and Cowan over two days in January 2024, including 2TA8 "Great Southern", Ghan-livery NR109 on Pacific National's 3MB4 and a number of V sets on Sydney - Newcastle operations, which can now no longer be seen.

This film was cobbled together from two separate shoots. Firstly, there was some extra stuff filmed after    • 158F: East Maitland Of A Morning (16/01/2024)   on 16/01, followed by the 24/01 shoot to get NR109 leading 3MB4, which then netted some other trains too. The latter was too short to sustain a video of its own and, with me deciding not to go ahead with the "Main North Not-Seen" video of the East Maitland outtakes, I combined the two to make this short video.

The result is nothing substantial, but it still manages to include a reasonable variety of trains, including a couple of special ones. Plus there's a couple of historical trinkets and, of course, the sight of V sets operating Short North trains, which they obviously don't do anymore.

Is it my best work? Probably not; it's another film I made quickly. Is it my worst? Certainly not.

P.S. SCT Logistics and Sydney Trains are not credited as operators in-video. The 5BM9 shot at Cowan was filmed 22/10/2021, whereas the Tangara at Berowra is from 23/01/2024, the day before the second part.

P.P.S. The cessation of suburban services to Cowan may have actually been in 1992, not ‘93. I had sources tell me both.
