NEET-PG: MP High Court Grants Interim Relief in conversion of vacant NRI quota seats

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the State Government to adhere to Rule 14(2) of the MP Medical Education Admission Rules, 2018, if there is no other legal impediment, while hearing a plea challenging the conversion of vacant NRI quota seats during PG medical counselling. The interim direction was passed by a Division Bench comprising Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla and Justice Alok Awasthi after a postgraduate aspirant sought extension of the NRI quota till the Stray Vacancy Round. The Court noted that the counselling process had already commenced and listed the matter for further hearing on February 25, 2026.
