With its original (reversed) title of “Will You Remember (Sweetheart)?” this had been the popular waltz tune from “Maytime,” the hit 1917 Broadway musical with songs by Sigmund Romberg & Rita Johnson Young. It was later performed by Nelson Eddy (to Jeanette MacDonald) in the 1937 film adaptation.
