The latest flare up of violence in Mt Elgon sub county that has seen 37 people killed is nothing new as the distinction of death and destruction in the highly volatile region dates back to 1960s.
The wave of violence has rekindled sad memories many want to forget, but is it a land issue, politics or just a criminal gang on the loose?
