This is Bazlama — soft Turkish flatbread cooked right in a skillet.
No oven needed.
I really like this bread because it’s simple, warm, and very comforting.
You just make the dough, let it rest, and cook it in a pan.
I made it at home, in my small kitchen in New York.
It smells like a bakery when it’s cooking.
You can eat Bazlama with soup, dips, shakshuka,
or just with butter, honey, yogurt, or cheese.
I like it best fresh from the pan.

Ingredients (3 flatbreads):
• 220 g warm water (about ¾ cup + 2 tbsp)
• 7 g dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
• 10 g honey (about 2 tsp)
• 50 g plain yogurt (about 3 tbsp)
• 15 g olive oil (1 tbsp)
• 8 g salt (1 ¼ tsp)
• 380 g all-purpose flour (about 3 cups)
For cooking:
• Butter, for brushing after cooking
You don’t need any special equipment — just a bowl and a pan.
