After many months of putting it off, I finally got the Dreadbox Antiphon up and running (it's only available as a kit - NOT for the faint at heart). What better way to get whacked out with it, than to control it with a Landscape Stereo Field.
Basically, the Antiphon is EIGHT sine wave oscillators, running through low pass and high pass VCFs, a VCA, and a spring reverb. The last two oscillators can also serve as LFOs. Each oscillator frequency can be controlled by any other oscillator, as can the VCFs and VCA. All can also be controlled by any external control voltage you have sitting around.
Which is where the Stereo Field comes in. I'll try my best to explain it concisely. There's two stereo circuits inside (basically two car stereo circuits, I believe). The touch plates on top are connected to various points on the circuits, so that the capacitance from your fingers introduces all kinds of voltage variations. The Stereo Field can work as a control voltage generator, a signal generator (as it does starting at 2:35), or as a signal modifier. It does this at 3:30, where it processes the eighth oscillator before sending it on to the left channel outputs, and to the oscillator control voltage inputs.
Mayhem ensues!
How could I not pass all this through a old Echoplex for some wobbly tape delay?!
