Coinciding with Shure’s centennial, this installment of the Celebrating Women in Technology series is focused on “Audio Pioneers,” featuring accomplished panelists who represent both the trailblazers of the past and current leaders advancing the audio sector.

Beckie Campbell is a FOH Engineer, Monitor Engineer, and owner of B4Media Production. As a 24-year veteran of the music business, Beckie has had the honor to help mentor and train teams for several theaters, live events, and houses of worship, all while touring as a PM/FOH Engineer for major acts like the Indigo Girls and co-hosting the SoundGirls podcast.
Dr. Leslie Gaston-Bird, Past President of the Audio Engineering Society, is an award-nominated Supervising Sound Editor, Re-Recording Mixer, and author of Women in Audio and Math Fundamentals for Audio. She is an Avid Certified Instructor for Pro Tools and Dolby Atmos, and director of “Immersive and Inclusive Audio.”
Sarah Joyce, AVIXA’s Chief Global Officer and AVIXA Foundation Executive Director, leads global initiatives and fosters industry growth and diversity. With 25+ years in AV, she previously led Electrosonic EMEA and has served on multiple boards, advancing professional development and inclusion worldwide.
SEIDS (Sabrina Seidman) is a singer, songwriter, and educator who has built a global community of 200K+ followers online. She continues to motivate others through her music journey and inspires aspiring artists by sharing her experiences and teaching virtual classes. She is passionate about building a music community and motivating others to follow their dreams.
Lisa Pinero is a Production Sound Mixer. With a career spanning five decades, Lisa Piñero is an accomplished, award-winning Production Sound Mixer for film and television and best known for her work on productions including A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), Suicide Squad (2016), Marriage Story (2019), Licorice Pizza (2021), and Challengers (2024).
