Info - A FLASH FLOOD OF COLOUR - January 16th 2012 - ENTER SHIKARI
System - Rou delivering a nursery-rhyme spoken word story. with background music building up to the next song 'Meltdown'. This is a perfect intro song for the album.
Meltdown - This song is one of the best on the album. Warning** The drop in this song will get stuck in your head. and the chorus is perfect with the backing singing saying it's not to late, it just gets stuck in your head.
sssnakepit - First Single. Starts with dub-step then gets heavier with a build up of guitar then into a real heavy beat. This song in my opinion has the most catchy chorus on the entire album. then about half way through the song it slows down with a extremly heavy breakdown type beat. This song is another one of the best songs on the album.
Arguing With Thermometers - This is another one of the best songs on the album. This song is a huge combination between metal breakdowns and electronic dub-step. The chorus in this song is really catchy and is somthing that Enter Shikari does not do alot.
This is one of the heaviest songs on the album.
Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here' - this song sees their hardcore-dub-rave mash-up mix up with stadium rock. From start to end, it is very interesting.
Conclusion - This album touches Enter Shikari's heaviest pionts and also there slowest and more popie pionts. This whole album is very good and the only thing that I think they should have changed is the poppie pionts in my opinion because I am more of a metal head and I could not handle some of the pop moments on the album. Another thing I think they should have done differenlty was make the album longer. When you listen to the full album it seems a little short. I think songs that will be played live on this album in 2012 regularly are Meltdown, sssnakepit, and Arguing With Thermometers. The production on this album is amazing and could not be better and I can't see many other bands topping this genius album. Lyrically, musically this album has set the bar so high that most other bands will fail to reach it. Now you might not like this album on the first listen but my tip to you is to listen again and again and then you start to relalize how amazing it really is. that is why I am giving Enter Shikari's A FLASH FLOOD OF COLOR a 8/10. 2012 is shaping up to be one of the best years in music I've seen in a long time. Thanks for tuning in and please subscribe!
