Trekking in Western Ghat region of Maharashtra at Sahyadri region is gaining popularity among different age groups. Not only youths are fascinated by the adventurous trek routes, the older generations are also exploring the risky and tough trails of Sahyadri range forts, waterfall trails, forests and some of the amazing valleys. Although the region is witnessing crowds in weekends, still the location is not commercialized to the extent of Himalayan ranges yet. With growing popularity day is not far, the locations of Sahyadri will not only be a vacation spot to locals of Maharashtra but will get trekkers from all the states of India. The series is covered in such a way keeping all trekkers from different states in mind to provide valuable information like trek route, permit, camping facilities, local transport, stay, food, emergency helpline, trek trail, historical facts and others. Trekkers from others state visiting Sahyadri region with longer vacation can extract their choice of locations from the series and plan their journey accordingly. The journey commenced with train to Nashik for attempting Harihar Fort as it was selected first trek of 25 days in Sahyadri Solo. Reaching Harshewadi- the base village of Harihar Fort was the aim. It is around 45 km away from Nashik. The late running status of train forced me to change the night halt plan at retiring room in Nashik. Detail follows in video.
