Maiden flight of our new Anthem! We matched the incidences, the CG, and the control surfaces movement from the other Anthem and even though the feeling is a little bit different due to the contra rotating system, I felt very comfortable from the beginning.

Overall, the first impressions are very good. It has a lot of traction, it is very powerful, and it has a reasonable range of speeds using the 22x20s from Falcon. The braking performance combined with the T-Brake is insane. The absence of torque helps a lot during the uplines and stall turns… they are awesome, and using similar surface movements, the airplane feels a little bit more responsive. I did a P23 and the consumption was 2800mAh in these windy conditions, which I think is very good as I was trying to fly quite fast. The throttle management is definitely different, but I see the advantages especially keeping the same speed during the whole program.

These are just my impressions after the maiden and 5 flights, and I will try to make more videos comparing both systems, but I must say that I ended up very happy with the first flights.

I still see some important advantages with the outrunner systems, like how simple they are, the sound, and economically are still cheaper.

So, it is too soon to give you my conclusions, and I need more flights, but I am seriously considering using the CRS3000 this season.
