The Heartland Flyer, which goes between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City, was in danger of being cut when I worked on this video. And yet...I am proposing an extension of the Heartland Flyer.
NOTE: After publishing this video, I leaned from a comment about the one-year funding agreement for the Flyer (didn’t learn before then because I haven’t been following train news the past several days due to my own travels). So feel free to ignore language about the service being cut in the next few months. But it’s not a long-term plan, so much of what I say (other than the exact timeline) still holds true.
