This is an short introduction of the key characteristics of the interiors of the Arts and Craft Style created by Gustave Stickley. The first floor is a collection of interdependent spaces woven together with hand-crafted details centered around the fireplace and the nook.
The video tracks the decisions of a young couple in Indianapolis as they look for the best within their budget at the start of the twentieth century. They adopted the arts & craft style in the interior of the house. They strove to simplify their life and to use one's love of nature to find beauty in the decorations chosen in the home.
