Well, for faster deployment, especially out in open landscape mole ploughing is to be preferred. See this little video where a comparison is made.
A plow that make quick work of installing pipe from GM Plast and a mini excavator making a traditional open trench.
The mole plough powers through turf with minimal ground disturbance in rural area Iceland. The mini excavator makes some more disturbance and furthermore several work processes are needed as the pipe must be handled and refilling will also be needed.
