A holiday in the borders region of England/Scotland presented a perfect opportunity to pay an impromptu visit to this little gem of a privately-owned railway, formerly part of the Border Counties Railway.
The locomotive is Ruston 88DS 4wDM No. 275882 of 1949, "Meg of Saughtree" (ex-Hull oil refinery).
