This is Ranma 1/2: Chougi Rambu Hen on Super Nintendo. This was the 3rd game using a 1-on-1 format (surfing the Street Fighter 2 craze) based on the popular series that was released in 1994 on SNES. It was only released in Japan.

I show the main game in another video but this is a quick video to show the innovative "Tag Mode". This allowed you to select 2 playable characters as does your opponent. when you are at the side of the screen you can "Tag Out and Tag In" your partner by pressing the Select button.

While this became a popular mechanic in games such as Capcom's Vs series and other popular games this was one of the earliest, if not the earliest, example of this mechanic. not bad a for a licenced game!

This is my original cart from late in the SNES era that I picked up back in the day. I finally got it after mistakenly picking up the RPG game thinking it was this one.

I'm also sorting my loft and finding all sorts of obscurities, oddities and nice games from my collection so I'll be doing some random vids. As always the game cart is played on original hardware - no emulation etc This is played on my Super Nintendo. Captured through a Retrotink 5x purely for ease of capture.
